  2025 Wuhan International Creative Design Competition(Golden Yellow Crane Award)Call for Submissions
  2025年武汉市政府工作报告中明确提出“擦亮世界设计之都品牌”的工作要求。为着力打造更宜居宜业宜游的人民城市,依托武汉“设计之都”这一世界性品牌,武汉市自然资源和城乡建设局启动2025年武汉国际创意设计大赛(金黄鹤奖),通过“小切口”设计命题入手,以公众参与场所营造的方式,探索武汉建设现代化人民城市的特色路径。
  The 2025 Wuhan Municipal Government Work Report explicitly stated the requirement to"burnish the brand of a world-class design capital".In an effort to build a more livable,business-friendly,and visitor-welcoming people-centered city,and leveraging Wuhan's global brand as the"City of Design",the Wuhan Bureau of Natural Resources and Urban Rural Development has launched the 2025 Wuhan International Creative Design Competition(Golden Yellow Crane Award).Through focused design topics and a public participation approach to placemaking,the competition explores distinctive pathways for Wuhan to construct a modern,people-oriented city.
  一、大赛主题
  I.Competition Theme
  2025年7月召开的中央城市工作会议指出,要坚持城市内涵式发展,转变城市发展理念,更加注重以人为本。第八届武汉设计双年展主题是“创意无界・融合共享”,核心是打破创意边界、推动多元融合。基于此,本届大赛主题定为“烟火江城・无界共创”,立足武汉本土“烟火气”这一独特城市品格,将双年展“无界”的宏观理念具象化为公众可参与的共创实践,让双年展的融合共享落到武汉城市发展的具体设计需求中,通过真题真做体现“武汉设计”魅力,实现从理念引领到实践落地的延伸。
  The Central Urban Work Conference held in July 2025 emphasized the importance of promoting connotative urban development and shifting urban planning philosophies to prioritize a people-centered approach.The theme of the 8th Wuhan Design Biennale,"Boundless Creativity,Integrated Sharing"focuses on breaking down creative boundaries and fostering multidisciplinary integration.Building on this,the theme of this competition is titled"Lively Wuhan:Boundless Co-creation".Rooted in Wuhan's unique urban character—its vibrant local culture and lively atmosphere—the competition translates the Biennale’s macro concept of"boundless creativity"into tangible,participatory co-creation practices.It aims to channel the spirit of integration and sharing into addressing specific design needs in Wuhan’s urban development,showcasing the charm of"Wuhan Design"through real-world projects and extending the impact from conceptual guidance to practical implementation.
  二、大赛题目
  II.Competition Topics
  基于“宜居、宜业、宜游”三大底层需求,倡导“小切口、微干预、可落地”的柔性设计理念,紧密对接各区重点实施项目,共设置7组平行方案征集。(具体内容见附件1附件1 Annex1 2025年武汉国际设计大赛(金黄鹤奖)征集题目)
  Based on the three fundamental needs of a city that is livable,workable,and enjoyable,this competition promotes a flexible design philosophy centered on"small interventions,gentle adjustments,and practical implementation."The competition closely aligns with key projects in various districts,setting up a total of seven parallel design topics.(Specific details in Annex 1).

  三、参赛对象
  III.Participants
  本次大赛采取公众参与场所营造(Placemaking)的方式,坚持以人为本的核心理念,打破设计竞赛“专业壁垒”,面向社会征集创意,让不同群体的需求融入设计,最终产出“既好看又好用、既专业又亲民”的作品。
  This competition adopts a public participation approach to Placemaking,focusing on a people-oriented philosophy.It aims to break down the"professional barriers"of typical design contests by inviting creative ideas from the public.This ensures that the needs of diverse groups are incorporated into the design,resulting in works that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical,as well as professional and accessible.
  (一)征集对象
  (1)Target Participants
  本次征集不设专业与地域限制,诚邀全球多元力量跨界共创,期待以创新思维打破行业壁垒,激发空间设计新可能。具体可包括但不限于以下主体参赛:
  This call for entries imposes no restrictions on professional background or geographical location.Diverse global forces are sincerely invited to engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration,with the expectation that innovative thinking will break down industry barriers and unlock new possibilities in spatial design.Eligible participants include but are not limited to the following:
  1、如城市规划、交通工程、建筑景观、艺术设计、科技研发等领域的企业、高校、科研院所等专业机构;
  1.Professional Institutions:companies,universities,and research institutes in fields such as urban planning,transportation engineering,architectural landscaping,art design,and technology R&D.
  2、如文旅策划团队、社区营造组织、文化创意团体、公益组织等社会力量;
  2.Social Forces:cultural and tourism planning teams,community-building organizations,cultural and creative groups,and non-profit organizations.
  3、如独立工作室、个人创作者、意见领袖、网络红人等以独特视角提出解决方案的新生活方式创意先锋。
  3.Creative Pioneers:Independent studios,individual creators,opinion leaders,and internet influencers who offer unique perspectives and solutions.
  (二)组别设置
  (2)Category Setup
  凡有意参加本次方案征集活动的申请人,报名时可根据自身情况选择参加“专业组”或“大众组”,两组的评审和获奖环节均独立设置。“专业组”需提交设计图纸、展板等规范化内容;“大众组”需提交图文报告,内容和形式相对灵活。
  Potential applicants interested in participating in this competition may choose to enter either the"Professional Category"or the"Public Category"based on their background during registration.The review and award processes for these two categories are set up independently.Professional Category Participants are required to submit standardized content such as design drawings and exhibition boards.Public Category Participants are required to submit illustrated reports,with relatively flexible content and format requirements.
  四、作品提交要求
  IV.Submission Requirements
  (一)设计成果
  (1)Design Deliverables
  专业组:A0画幅展板两张(电子文件),格式为pdf或jpg,分辨率不低于300dpi。
  Professional Group:Two A0-sized presentation boards(digital files)in PDF or JPG format,with a resolution no lower than 300 dpi.
  大众组:图文结合的创意报告一份(文字内容不超过2000字);可提交Vlog(画质不低于1080p,时长不超过5分钟)、手绘图纸、照片改绘图纸等各类可表达提案内容的成果。
  Public Group:A creative report combining text and images(text content not exceeding 2,000 words).Acceptable submissions may include Vlogs(with a resolution no less than 1080p and a maximum length of 5 minutes),hand-drawn sketches,photo-overlay drawings,and other formats capable of conveying the proposal content.

  五、奖项设置
  V.Awards
  面向专业组参赛者设置一、二、三等奖,面向大众组参赛者设置“金点子”奖,由专家评审选出,予以现金奖励;七组各设一个最受大众欢迎奖,由大众投票选出,予以现金奖励;设置参与奖,颁发特制证书。
  The Professional category will have first,second,and third prizes,while the Public category will have the"Golden Idea"Award,selected by a panel of experts with a cash prize.Each of the seven categories will have a"Most Popular"Award with a cash prize.Participation Award will be granted with specially designed certificates.
  (一)一等奖:每组1名,奖金5万元。
  First Prize:One winner per group,with a cash prize of CNY 50,000.
  武汉设计之都特制证书;作品在双年展专区展出;参与双年展活动;优先参与项目优化设计实践。
  Specially designed Wuhan City of Design certificate;
  Work will be exhibited in a dedicated area of the Biennale;
  The opportunity to participate in the Biennial activities.
  Priority for involvement in practical project optimization and design.
  (二)二等奖:每组1名,奖金2万元。
  Second Prize:One winner per group,with a cash prize of CNY 20,000.
  武汉设计之都特制证书;作品在双年展专区展出。
  Specially designed Wuhan City of Design certificate;
  Work will be exhibited in a dedicated area of the Biennale.
  (三)三等奖:每组1名,奖金1万元。
  Second Prize:One winner per group,with a cash prize of CNY 10,000.
  武汉设计之都特制证书;作品在双年展专区展出。
  Specially designed Wuhan City of Design certificate;
  Work will be exhibited in a dedicated area of the Biennale.
  (四)“金点子”奖:每组1名,奖金5000元。
  "Golden Idea"Award:One winner per group,with a cash prize of CNY 5,000.
  武汉设计之都特制证书;作品在双年展专区展出。
  Specially designed Wuhan City of Design certificate;
  Work will be exhibited in a dedicated area of the Biennale.
  (五)最受大众欢迎奖:每组1名,奖金3000元。
  "Most Popular"Award:One winner per group,with a cash prize of CNY 3,000.

  (六)参与奖:成果满足提交要求的参赛者。

  六、大赛安排
  VI.Schedule
  (一)大赛启动
  (1)Competition Launch
  9月17日:设计大赛正式发布并启动报名(报名表见附件2附件2 Annex2 2025年武汉国际设计大赛(金黄鹤奖)公开征集报名表)。
  Sep 17th:The design competition is officially launched and registration opens(the registration form in Annex 2).
  9月23日:设计大赛报名截止。
  September 23rd:The deadline for competition registration.
  9月24日:对报名者进行资格审查,发送初审结果,设计任务书将以邮件形式发送至合格报名者。
  September 24th:The organizer completes the qualification review of applicants and sends the design briefs via email to eligible participants.
  (二)设计共创
  (2)Collaborative Design
  9月25至30日:组织召开线下工作坊,包括调研和专业答疑,具体时间另行通知。
  September 25th to 30th:An offline workshop will be held for the competition,which will include an in-depth site survey and professional Q&A session.The specific time will be announced separately.
  10月24日:最终成果提交截止。
  October 24th:The deadline for final submissions.
  (三)大赛评审
  (3)Competition Review
  10月25至31日:组织专家进行方案评审,同步开展现场和线上大众投票工作。
  October 25th to 31st:A panel of experts will review the proposals that meet the initial screening criteria.Simultaneously,on-site public evaluations and online public reviews will be conducted.
  (四)颁奖和转化活动
  (4)Award Ceremony and Follow-up Activities
  11月7日,双年展活动上进行获胜作品颁奖。执行单位将提前通过电话、邮件形式通知获奖者。
  November 7th:Winning works will be honored at the Biennale activity.The organizer will notify winners by phone and email in advance.
  大赛获奖作品进入双年展主展区参展;大赛全流程素材纳入双年展宣传片,成为双年展重要的展示部分。
  Winning works will be exhibited in the main exhibition area of the Biennale.All materials from the competition process will be included in the Biennale’s promotional video,forming a significant part of the exhibition’s display.
  七、征集说明
  VII.Submission Guidelines
  1、本次大赛所有奖金均在中国大陆境内以人民币(RMB)形式发放。国际参赛者如无法直接接收人民币,可授权中国大陆境内合法认可的独立实体代为接收奖金。
  All prizes for this competition will be disbursed in Chinese Yuan(RMB)within the Chinese mainland.International participants who are unable to receive RMB directly may authorize a legally recognized independent entity within the Chinese mainland to collect the award on their behalf.
  2、参赛作品的著作权归参赛者所有。武汉国际创意设计大赛(金黄鹤奖)组委会可对所有参赛作品印刷、出版和展览,并可通过传播媒介、专业杂志、书刊或其他形式评价、展示、宣传参赛作品,但应注明参赛者的名称。
  The copyright of the entries belongs to the participants.The Competition Organizing Committee may print,publish,and exhibit all entries,and may evaluate,display,and promote the entries through media,professional magazines,books,or other forms,but should indicate the participant's name.
  3、参赛者应保证其提交的参赛作品为参赛者的原创作品,参赛者对该参赛作品拥有独立、完整、明确、无争议的版权,不存在抄袭或盗用他人作品的情况。该参赛作品未在任何地方公开发表或者出版,未被授权给任何组织或个人商用(不论有偿或无偿),也没有参加过其他的竞赛或征集活动,且获得奖项。
  Participants should ensure that their submitted entries are original works,and that they own the independent,complete,clear,and undisputed copyright to the entries.The entries should not have been published or publicly displayed anywhere,nor authorized for commercial use(whether paid or unpaid)by any organization or individual,nor have participated in other competitions or solicitations,and should have won awards.
  4、参赛者应保证其提交的参赛作品在中国境内或境外没有且不会侵犯任何其他人的知识产权(包括但不限于著作权、专利权)或专有技术或商业秘密。参赛者应保证,如果其参赛作品中使用或包含任何其他人的知识产权或专有技术或商业秘密,参赛者已经获得权利人的合法、有效、充分的授权。参赛者因侵犯他人知识产权或专有技术或商业秘密所引起的全部赔偿责任应由参赛者承担。凡因违反上述保证而导致的相关纠纷,一切法律责任均由参赛者承担,与大赛组委会无关。在此情况下,组委会有权取消其参赛资格并要求该参赛者退还其基于参赛作品所获得的所有奖金、收益(如果获得了奖项),同时赔偿其因此给组委会造成的全部损失。
  Participants should ensure that their submitted entries do not and will not infringe on any intellectual property rights(including but not limited to copyrights,patent rights),proprietary technologies,or trade secrets of any other person in or outside China.Participants should ensure that if their entries use or contain any intellectual property rights,proprietary technologies,or trade secrets of any other person,they have obtained legal,valid,and sufficient authorization from the rights holder.Participants shall bear all liability for compensation arising from infringement of others'intellectual property rights,proprietary technologies,or trade secrets.Any legal liability arising from violations of the above guarantees shall be borne by the participants,and the Competition Organizing Committee shall not be held responsible.In such cases,the Competition Organizing Committee have the right to disqualify the participant and require the participant to return all prizes and benefits(if any)obtained based on the entry,and compensate for all losses caused to the Competition Organizing Committee.
  5、参加本次设计大赛的参赛者应对主办单位提供的图纸、相关的资料以及在大赛过程中了解到的组委会的有关情况予以保密。
  Participants in this Design Competition shall keep confidential all drawings,related materials provided by the Competition Organizing Committee as well as any information about the Competition Organizing Committee learned during the competition.
  6、参加本次征集活动的应征机构均被视为已充分阅读、理解并同意接受本公告的所有条款。
  All participants in this Design Competition are deemed to agree to and accept the relevant provisions and requirements of this announcement.
  7、本次征集活动本身及与本次活动相关的文件所适用的法律和法规仅为中华人民共和国的法律和法规。
  This Design Competition,including the competition itself and related documents,is governed by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China.
  8、本次征集活动最终解释权归主办单位所有。
  The final interpretation rights of this Design Competition and related documents belong to the Competition Organizing Committee.
