竞赛背景 / Competition background

一个美丽的主意或令人回味的图像可能比一个物体，一栋建筑物甚至整个城市更能激发我们的想象力。然而，正是物质性构成了建筑的强大力量，它具有将实体建筑转变为真正超验体验的能力。

让我们考虑一下如何改善我们已经拥有的建筑物，而不是像通常那样将它们夷为平地从头开始建造新建筑物。当涉及到最近的建筑物时，尽管不受地标地位的保护，但在如何改造方面有很多自由。

James R. Thompson Center是芝加哥最具标志性的建筑之一。伊利诺伊州政府决定将其出售用于新开发项目，使这座拥有35年历史的20世纪晚期建筑瑰宝处于极大的危险之中。

竞赛内容 / Competition content

本次竞赛分为两个阶段，第一阶段为资格预审，参赛团队提交参赛申请和设计作品集，评委将从中选择进入第二阶段的设计团队。第二阶段参赛团队会分配在31个设计场地中，进行概念设计提案。

第一阶段评审：2021年1月18日—20日；

初步研讨会，入选参赛者收到设计范围和设计依据：2021年1月21日；

第二阶段提案设计：2021年1月21日—3月26日

技术评审：2021年3月29日—4月9日；

评委评审：2021年4月12日—4月30日。

奖项设置 / AWARDS

第二阶段入选的每个参赛团队将获得100万卢布（约合人民币86,737元）的奖励，同时将参与竞赛概念深化的后续工作。
